The Perfect Makeup Starter Kit For Your Teen
This one is definitely for the moms out there! Who else has a daughter that is getting old enough to want to start venturing in to makeup? I have one! Especially with working in this industry I have makeup products everywhere, that somehow end up missing sometimes…. We’ve all been there. I remember getting into my moms makeup when I was younger and thinking how cool it would be to wear. Now it is happening to me!
I decided to help you out, because it can be hard to know where to begin when it comes to teens. I know at least for my daughter, she has more sensitive skin. Most teens are also acne prone which can be an issue if they wrong products are applied. Therefore, I have created a makeup starter kit for your teen who wants to test out the new “womanly” world of makeup!

One of the BIGGEST things I would get your teen started on first is sunscreen. If you can… force them to wear it everyday! Trust me, they will appreciate it one day. This protects the skin from sun damage at a young age. I know right now, glowy skin is in style right now with makeup trends. So if you are wanting to start off slow, a little sunscreen and the Supergoop Glow Screen will give just the right amount of glow to feel confident and special wearing makeup!
If your teen is acne prone, I highly recommend using Ilia Beauty products because they are a clean brand. Not only are they vegan but it has key skin treatment ingredients like hyaluronic acid to keep the skin hydrated. It has SPF in it as well. My daughter personally uses this, and loves it! It has not made her break out which is key when it comes to teens. I know acne can be one of the worst confidence killers when you are a teenager, so finding products that keep your skin healthy are key.
Another key tip for when your teens are starting to use makeup is they need a good skin cleansing product. One of the products to use for removing makeup is this Junoskin Cleaning Balm. You apply it to your hands, and then rub all of your face. It melts your makeup right off! Mascara and all!! This will help break down the makeup from the skin, so when you wash your face it will be purely clean!

To all of the moms out there.. I get it. It can be challenging realizing that your babies are growing up and getting older. I am so happy that I get to be the woman in her life to help her navigate these different life changes! So if ever feel overwhelmed, emotional, scared… trust me I understand.
